The Night Watch’s first recorded testament is an ambitious instrumental adventure through a wide range of genres. Blending influences from styles such as Folk Metal, Black Metal, Doom Metal, Progressive Metal, Post Metal, Post Rock, Jazz, Swing, Neofolk and Classical, The Night Watch aims to embrace these dynamic possibilities with a spirit of exploration akin to the Progressive Rock bands of the 1970s

"The Night Watch is a dark, eccentric, and off-the-wall adventure that places the listener directly into the front seat of an emotional roller coaster; complete with all the twists, turns, and thrills one would expect from such an exciting ride. And in the end, as long as your seat belt is buckled and both your hands and feet remain inside the vehicle at all times, it’s a ride that is so unforgettable and rewarding that will you find yourself getting back in line over and over again." - Sputnik Music

"Along with last year’s breakthrough instrumental band Scale the Summit, The Night Watch is a band to pay attention to...On their self-titled debut, The Night Watch only leaves the question of what they will do for an encore because debut albums don’t come any better than what The Night Watch just produced." - Metal Psalter

"If you are at all excited at the prospect of a sensationally composed progressive metal album in which vocals are replaced with violins to an effect that is uplifting and mournful in equal measure, then do not sit on this one, for 'tis the shit!" - Zero Tolerance

"Grafting together elements of soaring classical, acoustic black metal, vibrant neo-folk and even doom, their self-titled debut creates a lush, cinematic soundscape." - Exclaim!
